A number of science projects have
been put forward based on DFBS and ArVO and are
currently under way:
•
FAUBOS (FBS/APS/USNO Blue Objects Survey): pre-selection by
MAPS/USNO-B1.0 colors, study by the DFBS spectra and DSS1/DSS2 images;
search for QSO/Sy & WD/sd/CV
•
EROS (Extremely
Red Objects Spectra):
FBS/2MASS/IRAS/MAPS/USNO-B1.0 cross-correlations and pre-selection;
classification based on the DFBS low-dispersion spectra
•
VCV/MAPS/USNO-B1.0
cross-correlation: examination of
the DSS1/DSS2 images of bright AGN from the Veron-Cetty and Veron (VCV)
catalog and their re-classification by the extension, photometric data
based on the classification, VCV statistical study
•
Multiwavelength
bright AGN sample: VCV V<17.5m
objects cross-correlations with NVSS, FIRST, IRAS PSC/FSC, 2MASS, ROSAT
BSC/FSC, DFBS, etc.: Complete sample of bright AGN
over 10,000 deg2 area
•
Optical
identifications of radio sources: NVSS/FIRST cross-correlation with MAPS/USNO (blue objects); DFBS
spectra
•
Optical
identifications of IR sources: IRAS PSC/FSC cross-correlation with 2MASS/MAPS/USNO-B1.0
(galaxies, red stars, etc.); DFBS spectra
•
Optical
identifications of X-ray sources: ROSAT BSC/FSC cross-correlation with MAPS/USNO (blue objects,
galaxies, red stars, etc.); DFBS spectra
•
ArVO is open for
collaboration and proposals for new science projects are welcome.
