The international symposium
The Modern
Physics of Neutron Stars will take place
in Yerevan, Armenia, September 17-23, 2008, at the Department of
Physics of
Yerevan State University.
The symposium is held on the occasion of 100 birthday of
Viktor A. Ambartsumian - one of the pioneers of the theoretical
astrophysics of 20th century.
We plan to discuss the following topics:
* Compact star as sources of gravitational waves
* Compact star binary modeling and gravitational waves
* Gravitational collaps and supernovae
* Compact stars in binaries
* Magnetized compact stars
* Equation of state of dense matter and QCD
* Transport in dense matter
* Physics of neutron star crusts
* Neutron star glitches and precession
* Physics of pulsar magnetosphere
